Telecom Expense Management Helps Charitable Pharmaceutical Give More

One of the biggest and most charitable pharmaceutical companies in the world just renewed and expanded Cimpl’s mandate to manage their wireline asset expenses. As it turns out, we helped them identify and cut down on a lot of their telecom costs. All these savings served to help them meet their mission of funding research and supplying care that heal or comfort patients worldwide.

Just who is this customer?

A globe-trotting pharmaceutical giant

Helping others starts with helping yourself.Our customer has big branches in ¾ of the countries in the world (and this number is likely to expand). The employee count is literally in the six figures. Its workforce is basically the population of most mid-size cities. They make and sell billion-dollar volumes of medications for just about every ailment imaginable. The amount they spend in research part is also impressive – it’s also in the multibillion dollar range.

Perhaps even more amazing than their business is their sense of charity. They have programs that reach tens of millions of patients who cannot afford medication every year. In a good number of instances, they actually give medical treatment for free.  The value of all this good work is literally in the billions.

Suffice it to say, our customer is engaged in a lot of activity. IT and telecom expense management is going to be a world-class challenge for them, and they needed our help to make sure that their telecom spend was optimized. And we handled it all extraordinarily well.

Almost from the moment we started, we helped our customer identify a ton of cost savings. After that, month after month we worked very closely with their point person to understand their telecom usage and uncover ever more hidden costs. Our results and our service help the company achieve its goal of doing good while earning handsome returns. Which is why they’ve now entrusted so much more to us.
