Canada's leader in IT and telecom expense management attains this honour for a third consecutive year

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

  • With a growth rate of 304% for the last five years, Etelesolv is recognized as one of Canada’s 50 Best Small and Medium Employers for a third consecutive year
  • This honour follows the recent accolade of becoming a PROFIT 500 company

Aon Best Employer 2016 - Best Small & Medium Organizations - Platinum(MONTREAL, QC – November 10, 2015) Etelesolv (now Cimpl), Canada's leader in IT and telecom expense management, is proud to be named among the Platinum Level Best Small and Medium Employers in Canada (BSME). This is the third consecutive year that the company has received this recognition, and the achievement reaffirms the company’s continuing commitment to employee engagement.

Aon’s Best Employers in Canada Study has been the country’s most comprehensive and widely recognized assessment of workplace excellence. Aon’s methodology reflects 20 years of learnings and best practices from Aon Best Employer and employee engagement studies conducted all over the world. Over the last five years alone, data was collected in more than 150 markets from over 5,000 organizations in 68 industries, including over 625,000 employees and more than 600 companies of all sizes in Canada.

“It amazing to see our employees make the office so welcoming every day,” said Christopher Thierry, President of the company. “They create the stimulating atmosphere necessary to build leading IT, telecom, and cloud management solutions. Ranking on the BSME three years in a row is just the natural extension of having this engaging environment. I thank everyone for creating a wonderful workplace, and I am proud of each of them!”

Because the BSME program is centered on recognizing employee engagement, the company’s ranking was primarily determined from results obtained from Employee Opinion Surveys issued by the program. Additional inputs to the evaluation process included the assessment of organizational practices and perspectives from the leadership team.

The company’s core values – Growth, Execute, Respect & Humility, Customer Intimate, and Fun & Family – have been the cornerstone of all the company’s success. Clearly, the core values have been embodied in the company’s hiring criteria, its alignment of objectives, its creation of processes, and the community service activities undertaken by the company as a whole. The company management recognized long ago that good employee engagement is extremely important to achieving excellence in all these areas. Being recognized in the BSME again is further confirmation that the company continues to succeed at this engagement.

Aon’s 2016 List of the Best Employers in Canada

To be designated a Best Employer using the global standard, each participant’s employee survey scores on engagement, leadership, performance culture, and employment brand were assessed against Aon Hewitt’s Canadian Survey Database. Organizations who scored in the top 25% of the Canadian database achieved the Platinum Level, while those scoring in the top third achieved Gold level.

This year’s Best Employers in Canada study identified 29 large organizations that achieved Platinum status; as well, 12 large organizations qualified for Gold Best Employer status. On average, 80 per cent of employees were engaged at Platinum Level Best Employers this year. At the Gold Level, 72 percent of employees were engaged. Among small and mid-sized companies (less than 400 employees), 28 qualified as Platinum Best Employers, while 11 achieved Gold status.

The following Aon Best Employers in Canada list appears in the November issue of Canadian Business magazine, PROFITguide.com, and in the December 10 edition of La Presse.
