3 Steps to Fix your Wireless Inventory Management Problems

  1. Accurate telecom inventory management

The City’s wireless services were split between two large carriers, and in order to move all their services to a single carrier, they needed to have a clear view of their current mobile inventory. With Cimpl, we were able to easily gather all the necessary data for a seamless migration to a new carrier. Having all data centralized also facilitated the management of the entire wireless inventory, and now the City’s IT manager knows exactly who has what asset. In fact, they can now easily see a Bill of IT by employee and department.

  1. Efficient reporting tool

In order to give the City’s IT managers more visibility over their invoices, a summary of each month’s invoices are available to employees. They receive monthly notifications that let them know when their invoices are available for review. This feature also allows managers to track actions, verify the accuracy of statements, communicate directly to vendors for reconciliation, and monitor costs. With Cimpl, they are also able to track contract information, and the cost of ownership of all their mobile devices.

  1. Automation of chargeback files

Following the same line of thought, we automated the creation of chargeback files to offer a better perspective to IT managers about the costs and fees of each department’s mobile device usage. The automation of this process makes this task less time consuming and the results are more reliable than manual processing.

After the implementation of our IT and telecom expense management solution, the City’s inventory has been cleaned up, which gave IT managers more control over their telecom inventory. They have gained more visibility on department IT costs, and are able to create cost and usage reports for mobile devices. So, overall, Cimpl provided cost transparency at all levels of the company by helping this city address its IT and telecom challenges effectively.
